Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Meals from the Heartland’s Annual Hunger Fight.
The following three volunteer opportunities are available at our Annual Hunger Fights:
1. Packaging Volunteer
Packaging Volunteers help us scoop, pour and repeat! These
volunteers work as individuals, as families or as groups to
package our meals of rice, soy protein, dried vegetables and
vitamins.

2. Host Volunteer
Host volunteers are a critical part of our hunger fight events, helping to keep the hunger event running smoothly. These key positions do not package meals, and require a three-hour shift. Examples: Packaging supervisors, supply station / dock volunteers, and event hosts.
3. Student Challenge
The student challenge is a great way to engage youth in volunteering and helping others. Sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred, the Student Challenge invites area high school youth to a special night of packaging at the Annual Hunger Fight. The night is devoted only to high school students and provides them with a FUN volunteer experience!

Meals from the Heartland is a non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization composed of volunteers who package meals for delivery to starving people around the world. Individuals, businesses, schools, churches and various civic organizations have come together to show the nation and the world what people who truly care can accomplish.
