Here is just a handful of photos taken on our recent mission trip to Haiti to see how the Meals from the Heartland packaging events are helping those that need it most.  We also brought KCCI Channel 8 news and the Drake Women’s Basketball staff to share stories and our culture.

Meals from the Heartland – BIG PACKAGING EVENT 2009

In 5 days, thousands of Iowans came together to help Meals from the Heartland scoop, fill, weigh, seal and box up over 4 MILLION meals for the hungry.  Below is just a small set of the photos taken during the event.

The Drake athletic department & MftH team up for Martin Luther King Jr. Day packaging event – January 19, 2009

A couple hours of teamwork is all it took for MftH and a group from Drake University’s athletic department to package 12,000 meals.

We were surprised by the outpouring of generosity, love and faith during our 2008 Meals from the Heartland efforts.  The MftH board, staff and volunteers would like to thank those that gave their time, their donations and their hearts for last year’s events.
